Rice from Thailand. The rice was approved by Rice Department - Thailand's Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and was commercialized publicly as the official species of Jasmine Rice since Year 2000. The rice was developed to resist the diseases and insects. The development reduces the chemical usage on the herbicides and the insecticides. Due to the resistance, the productivity is simply double in amount to Thai Hom Mali Jasmine Rice. The rice is planted in the central plain of Thailand in the irrigated farm. The rice has many crops annually. The appearance and the characteristics of Thai Pathumthani Fragrant Rice are similar to Thai Hom Mali Rice. This aromatic rice is soft and sticky after cooking.
